Unknown Error (Error code P1)

Hi Adobe Staff,

I also have an error when installing the CreativeCloudSet-Up.exe file. I click to install and nothing happens, even when my administrator tries to install.

Then I tried to install Photoshop using the Photoshop_Set-Up.exe file, and after I log in, I get this error:

Sorry, installation failed

An unknown error has occurred. (Error Code: P1)

 

I have tried all of the above solutions, and am still in the same situation.

 

Please help?


Can Photoshop CC and Lightroom 6 CC be installed on another drives than C:/

Can these two programs downloaded from the Creative Cloud be installed on another hard drive other than the primary hard drive or the C: drive? If so how?

Installing this application has been the most frustrating experience! It took an enormous amount of digging to try to figure out how to install this application on my D drive, only to find out that it is impossible. It would have been great if this fact was stated somewhere on the guide here: Download and install Creative Cloud apps

 

Hopefully this post will save some other poor soul the heartache of trying to figure out how this is done.

 

As additional assistance: Install Creative Cloud first before downloading the Lightroom or Photoshop exe files because those will install directly to your C drive as well. After installing CC to your C drive, change the installation settings (e.g., install programs to D drive) in your preferences prior to installing anything else.

 

Hopefully this saves someone the frustration I just experienced.

Hello,

Today I heard about "Adobe Animate CC" and I wanted to give it a try, when I installed "Creative Cloud" and started to install "Animate CC" I just needed to open it to start a new trial.

 

So I got this message:

 

So I did as it said, I reinstalled "Animate CC" and then... The same message appeared with this hint coming with it:

I never even was able to open it, and when I came to "Home" Tab it told me it started the Trial, but... I don't understand why this happened...

So I'm still confused about Error 16 and about the "Trial Expired" message.

 

The first one (5hrs ago) was the first try, as it downloaded "Media Encoder CC" with it, even though I don't know why, probably just an add-on.

It took about an hour to install, and I opened the app and it said I started me 7 day trial.

Until I had to reinstall, which comes the last try.

 

 

Any help, please?

I really want to try this, and see if I should purchase it (Because trying on your own is the best instead of watching a video)

 

As of said again, I have no idea how a trial got expired if I just started it...?

Lightroom Download stops at 42%?

Hello,

 

My lightroom download stops at 42% on my creative cloud application and I have no idea why!

I looked up some similar situations, and for each situation it says to log out and log back in. However, I cannot log out of my account and have no idea why!

My computer is a Macbook Pro, 2011. It works perfectly fine, but i don't know why lightroom won't download and why im having these problems.

Hi,

 

I purchased Adobe Illustrator a week ago and when I wanted to install it on my PC, I downloaded the trial version by mistake. Now the trial version is expired and I don't know how to download the paid version.

 

Can you help me to find how many days left for my paid version? and where can I install it from?

I know this is an old discussion thread but I'm having the same problems described and multiple attempts at uninstalling the cc desktop app, running the cleaner tool and reinstalling are not solving it. During the reinstall of the cc desktop app I get error code 50 time and again.

 

All of this started because I was trying to update Adobe Premiere and getting a different error code there and none of the suggested solutions for a failed update were working so I then did the last resort of uninstalling the cc desktop app. Now I can't reinstall premiere because I can't get the desktop app reinstalled.

 

I did all the steps suggested on several of these forums, including repairing my Microsoft Visual C++, which has been a problem in the past for Adobe updates.

 

I'm running Windows 10. Please help I've been trying to solve this for weeks.

Error 183 when updating CC Desktop from the Assets tab

Hi,

 

Today, Adobe CC Desktop refused to start telling me that I either had to Quit or to Repair. I selected Repair which resulted in a failed operation and an empty folder for the CC Desktop app. Thank you, Adobe. So, as usual, I uninstalled and reinstalled. After launching CC Desktop, I saw a red dot near the Assets tab. I clicked on it and after a "Checking for updates", it proposed to update Adobe CC Desktop ( ? ? ? I just downloaded and re-installed it so I'm wondering what it wanted to update).

 

Anyway, this operation systematically fails with either error 184 or error 183. Log file here : Dropbox - Install.zip . I'm using Windows 10 Creators. I tried in Safe Mode and under a clean Admin account. Nothing helps.

 

This program is just a failure. Always new problems, failed updates, uninstallations and re-installations,... Time to clean this code.

Adobe Creative Cloud App updated, then now it doesn't work!

Recently my adobe creative cloud app manager updated, and then it disappeared from my computer. When I open up any program, such as indesign, illustrator etc I get the error of "Adobe App manager isn't found to verify license, etc and needs to be re-installed". So I re-install, and it gets to 43% and immediately gives me an error that it failed to download (error code 50). So I look up troubleshooting on that error code, I un-installed it, used the CC cleaner and still - it won't install the app manager. Same error everytime. I've restarted the computer too. I'm using Windows 10 but had no issue until the app manager updated itself. Please help!

Muse 2017 update failure

I am a creative cloud user running Windows 10. No problem with loading any of the software, including all updates for a couple of years now....all except Muse.

I tried about six months ago to update Muse and it resulted in the following error.

Today my creative cloud app informed me there was a new version of Muse available (2017.4) to update...so I tried it (twice) and got the same result..

Has anyone fixed the apps button missing issue?  I know the moderators keep posting solutions that don't work but I'm throwing it out there anyways.

I noticed that my apps were not updating regularly even though the creative cloud app said all apps were up to date.

 

For example I had lightroom 2015.5 installed but the current version is .12. The creative cloud app says it's up to date.

 

I uninstalled the creative cloud app. that didn't help.

I uninstalled and reinstalled lightroom. And it downloaded and installed the old version 2015!

 

What is going on with this app. All I want is just the latest version of all my CC apps... what I pay for lol.

 

If adobe support count help me out that would be great.

 

 

My os is Sierra.

Since my "support" options are (1) voice my opinion in the Forums or (2) go jump in a lake, I'll throw this one out here.

 

I did, eventually, find the answer in the forums, but it wasn't until I'd exhausted all of the troubleshooting skills I've acquired since the late 1980's that I thought to google the application's name, "AIGPUSniffer", which revealed itself in my Mac's Activity Monitor as hogging huge amounts of resources, including making my mouse and keyboard non-operational for minutes at a time and adding 20 minutes to loading my major Adobe applications. I've been using major Adobe applications since Illustrator 88 came out. This is a total outrage.

 

Why was this sniffer being slipped unseen and unasked-for into upgrades to my Indesign CC 2017? And why was the fix to go into Bridge and undo all the various File Type Associations that Adobe, in it's infinite loopy wisdom, decided to change to... wait for it... "AIGPUSniffer". Whoever thought this one up should be fired immediately before he or she drives any more loyal long-time Adobe users back to QuarkXpress, which is where I'm about to go if this nonsense doesn't stop.

 

I would like an answer from a knowledgeable Adobe support person as to why this poorly implemented sniffer is being secretly slipped into users file systems.

 

I'm also carefully watching another apparently "vital" secret Adobe process, "Adobe Desktop Service", so vital, apparently, that I haven't found a way to un-install it myself, and haven't as yet found any explanation for it's purpose. Hello support! Adobe used to be a much more open and reliable company, what has happened to your management structure? Did you forget that actual knowledgeable people with limited budgets (i.e., having to pay for support plans in order to find out why Adobe's latest secret install is borking our computers — if, in fact, anyone in paid support knows anything about this to begin with) still use your products on a daily, professional basis?

 

And, do you really expect me to store anything — anything whatsoever — like application preferences and files, in a "cloud" that I can only access reliably when Comcast is having a good day around here? Have you no idea how things like internet connections actually work in the real world?

Creative Cloud restarting Windows Explorer on update. Why no choice?

The Creative Cloud app updated today as soon as I signed into my machine, and it restarted the windows explorer process. I have read the threads and explanations as to WHY it does this, so i don't need that rehashed. What I want to know is WHY am I not given a choice about this? I JUST started my machine, I have several autostart system tray apps that I rely on, and then CC updates, restarts the explorer process without my permission, and now all my important systray icons are gone, and the quickest/easiest way to get them back is to restart the damn machine, negating whatever "no restart required" benefit they thought they were employing.

 

The CC app itself is most certainly NOT important enough for me to allow it to restart the computer OR explorer process, and the fact that I am not asked at all is rather bothersome. I understand that taking control away from the user is all the rage now, with Windows 10 and all, but I do not appreciate it, and quite frankly, I'm growing a bit tired of apps that do crap like this.

 

Can we get an option to postpone the update until next restart? There is absolutely nothing I need to do in the CC app that warrants it restarting anything without my permission. Barring that, can I uninstall the CC app without removing the individual apps?

I am trying to install lightroom onto my laptop and i am given Error Code:204. Can anyone help me solve this issue so I can get it installed on m laptop? I just started a monthly subscription as well so I'm a little discouraged having to pay for something I am not able to use.

Hi guys,

 

I have a Error 11 appearing on my screen. 

 

This is really urgent. I am currently putting the finishing touches to my 28th book and I need to send it to my printer in two days time. 

 

Don’t know if this is related but I was using a Samsung external drive to back up my book and decided to scan the drive for viruses.  The drive was still preparing itself after half an hour and having scrolled through 78,900 files.  It was longer than I thought so I canceled the down load and removed the plug.

 

Went back to my book and got this message.
